If you could sum up Kris and Sara in a sentence it would be their love for 4 things: Sporting KC soccer, coffee, their rescue dog Molly and each other. After getting to know Kris and Sara, I was beyond excited to hear that they wanted to include all these aspects into their engagement session!Because they attend every Sporting KC game and sit with the most energetic soccer fans in The Cauldren (aka the "Blue Hell"), they were granted their wish of shooting part of their session in the Sporting KC stadium! (Yes- the entire stadium was ours for the afternoon!)
It was great getting out on the field and touring everything... even the locker room. (Which, by the way, was really impressive... to me anyway! Anyway- enough about locker rooms!) The stadium is beautiful and it was so fun being able to capture Kris and Sara's love and excitement for the sport!
We then headed over to Kansas City's River Market area where we stopped off at new, local cafe, Quay Coffee. Kris and Sara made sure to get energized for the second half of our session with freshly brewed java and we snapped shots outside of them enjoying the afternoon.
Molly made an appearance and is a huge part of this loving couples life as they open their homes regularly to foster other pups who need a temporary home. (Because of my love for my pup Lola, it was easy for me to give an enthusiastic yes for having Molly join in the session.) Dogs truly become a part of the family and it was fun to have Molly involved!

Sara's engagement ring has a sapphire because of her Kentucky alma mater, but I'm guessing Kris probably also had Sporting on his mind.... win, win!
