From their first look off of an old freight elevator and Sara's dress incorporating the lace from her mom's wedding dress, to a coffee bar inspired by Kris being a barista and placemats highlighting Sara's work as an architect.... Kris and Sara's wedding was truly unique and so personal. This awesome couple thought of every last detail for their day, and it was so fun to see it all come together!
I first met with Kris and Sara and, because they were also looking for an officiant for their wedding, our first meeting ended up being a double date with my husband who happens to be a pastor. We talked about their wedding day and their marriage... along with the shared loved of soccer and coffee... and everything seemed to fit perfectly! Over the next several months, my husband and I had the privilege of getting to know Kris and Sara better and it was so fun all celebrating their beautiful wedding day!
The ceremony and reception took place at The Bauer, which is a gorgeous, newly renovated space in the Crossroads District of downtown Kansas City. This detail rich space with unfinished brick walls, hardwood flooring and strings of lights hanging from the ceiling were the perfect compliment to Sara and Kris's extreme attention to detail and beautiful blend of rustic and urban aesthetic. I fell in love with the flowers from the creative minds of Erika and her associates at Eco-Posh Events, who also happened to help plan and run the wedding day meticulously! (Sara's hair and makeup beautifully done by Michelle at Bella Hair Company). Here's a sneak peek!
Congrats again to the new Mr & Mrs Davidson! I couldn't be happier for you as you start your new life together!
