Bethany & Denny's Gorgeous 1940's Inspired Wedding

Everything about Bethany and Denny's wedding made you feel as though you'd stepped back in time.   To a time where art deco emerged as the latest trend in building styles and decor, where crooners' lyrics melted hearts, and big bands played for hours on end to the enjoyment of swing dancers who couldn't stay off the dance floor.  This was the way Bethany and Denny celebrated with friends and family... and it was perfect.

I got to know this dynamic pair during their engagement session last fall and I couldn't have been more thrilled to capture this momentous day for them. (Feel free to check out their engagement session here!)

Bethany is the type of person that lights up whatever room she enters and, even though she's simply gorgeous, she's the most down to earth person you'll ever meet.  During her speech she gave at the reception, she noted that looking around the room she saw not a room full of wedding guests, but family.  And that's exactly how she makes everyone feel... like they belong and are treasured in the deepest part of her heart.  She adores Denny, which you can see in her eyes and Denny lights up when he sees Bethany.  His quiet demeanor is a perfect compliment to Bethany's spark, but you can tell that  he also values lifelong friendship (seen in the years of friendship he's shared with his best man) and his family.

I could talk on and on about the beautiful, light filled church, the ideal reception space at The Athenaeum, Bethany's sister singing in a gorgeous Ella Fitzgerald style to the bride and groom during her toast, the amazing jazz band Vine Street Rumble, Bethany's stunning lace dress, the gorgeous art deco inspired dress she changed into for their sparkler exit and the love that poured over their entire day... but here's a sneak peek instead!  Enjoy!

Thanks again Bethany and Denny for letting me capture your day!  Congrats!!

  1. Finding this place was the best thing that happened to us after the owner of our previously booked venue refused to answer any of our calls or emails after giving us completely stupid excuses. The coordinator at this wedding location venue did a wonderful job.
