Ben and Alyssa shared that one of their weekly rituals is to go out for donuts on Sunday morning. This tradition was incorporated into how Ben proposed and they knew it was going to be a part of their wedding. It's always fun to see how couples add those extra personal touches to their day!
Alyssa also put a sixpence in her shoe because as the saying goes, "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a sixpence in her shoe." I never knew that was the last part of that rhyme and it was fun to see a bride use each part of that custom.
Another tradition they told me about was the lighting of the candles. Alyssa's parents were the first to have this as a part of their wedding and Ben and Alyssa couldn't wait to include it as a part of their day. After their first look, Ben and Alyssa took the time to light 100 candles together. It gave them a moment to pause in their day and to reflect on the work that goes into a marriage. It was so neat to witness this moment!
Their emerald and champagne inspired wedding took place at Uptown Theater here in Kansas City, which was a fun backdrop for their fall wedding. Family and friends filled the space with laughter, heart-felt toasts and, of course, lots of dancing. Enjoy Alyssa and Ben's sneak peek!

Such a nice and simple wedding. You both look very sweet and adorable. Well dear, I need an event planner for my brother’s wedding in August this year. Can you please suggest me your wedding planner as I think he planned your wedding perfectly.
