Kelsey & Tom's Wedding and a Bike Built for Two!

It was a gorgeous, sunny day for Kelsey and Tom's wedding... and I felt like it mirrored this amazing couple's personalities.  Kelsey and Tom are two of the sweetest people you'll ever meet and you can understand why their friends and family were more than thrilled to celebrate this special day with them.

When I asked Tom how he felt before the first look, he said, "I feel ready."  And, after five years of dating, this day was long anticipated for both he and Kelsey... you could feel the love in the air.  Tom had just gotten a vintage tandem bike and wanted to use it in some of their photos, which I immediately agreed to!  There's something so nostalgic and romantic about a bike built for two and it was fun incorporating it into their photos!

The first look and most of the pictures took place at Unity Village with the wedding taking place at Timothy Lutheran, and the reception at The Elks Lodge in Blue Springs.  Here's just a sneak peek of their day!  (Click on an image for a larger view.)

Jessica & Larry's Union Station & Arrowhead Stadium Engagement Session!

Jessica and Larry definitely know how to go with the flow!  When we talked about their engagement session in early March, we knew it was a gamble with the Kansas City weather.  Sure enough, the day we were planning on shooting out at Arrowhead Stadium and a park was the day of a massive storm moving through with promises of strong winds, sleet and eventually snow.

We decided to take indoor pictures at the oh-so-beautiful Union Station, which turned out to be a perfect backdrop for this fun couple.  With Jessica working as a nurse, mostly nights, and Larry working at UPS, their schedules oftentimes making seeing each other a challenge.  Yet, it's so obvious that the strength of their love wins out over their crazy schedules and that they are truly a perfect match.

After Union Station, we headed over to Arrowhead Stadium because, after all, frigid temperatures and sleet couldn't keep these die-hard fans away from having the Chiefs incorporated into their session.  Even their pups joined the party!  Here's a sneak peek! 

I can't wait for Jessica & Larry's August wedding... I'm sure we'll be seeing some hints of their team spirit and a whole lot of their love for each other!  Congrats again!!
